BIPOC Identifying

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Gender Identity: female

Short Biography

I’m your Los Angeles, born and raised, Mixed Black therapist who enjoys long walks on the beach, a thick fantasy romance book, and unpacking the “whys” of it all with my clients! Working with me, you can expect to laugh, cry, uncover hard truths, and feel a little called out during the process (beware of my eyebrow she has a mind of her own). I have degrees in Psychology, Women and Gender Studies, as well as an MS in Counseling Psychology from the Cal State system! Additionally, I'm trained as a mindfulness educator to assist my clients in remaining grounded and in the present moment! In my work, I support Black and Multicultural women as well as ALL who identify as intersectional in conquering anxiety, depression, trauma and more in order to lead a life that is authentic and fulfilling.

Therapy Philosophy

My therapeutic approach is one of collaboration, connection, trust, & respect. My office is an affirming space for you to feel seen, heard, and understood while uncovering your fullest potential. As a team, we’ll address & overcome the barriers blocking you from living the life you deserve! The goal is not just to survive, but to thrive! In our work together, I will never insist I know the best way, but rather walk beside you, providing support & care while you discover your own path to fulfillment. As a Mindfulness Educator trained in Brainspotting therapy, I believe in incorporating a mindfulness practice (tailored to you) into our therapeutic work to strengthen your ability to remain present and grounded, in therapy & beyond. I’m a therapist who values conversations that include the -isms (racism, capitalism, sexism, etc). My room is safe for those of marginalized identity—all of them. These things impact us: my job is to provide safety so you can process them to keep going! Rest assured, your journey is your own. I’ll never tell you how to live “the right way”, it is merely my job to walk beside you and help you figure out what “right” means for you! As the clinician in the room, I’ll provide all of the knowledge and reflection I can to help you reach your highest potential. But truly, you already possess the knowledge to grow, I just help you sort it all out!
