Short Biography

Hello! I'm Tara, a licensed clinical social worker with 12 years of experience in the mental health field and 6 years in private practice. I'm really grateful you're here looking into support for yourself or someone close to you. I specialize in working with young athletes ages 14–35, helping them build a stronger, healthier relationship with themselves beyond the sport. So much of an athlete's identity gets tied to wins, and my work is about helping you discover and embrace the full, complex person you are. In addition to identity and self-concept work, I provide treatment for anxiety, eating disorders, and the everyday life stressors. Whether you're navigating a major transition, struggling with how you see yourself, or simply feeling like something is off, I'm here to help you find your footing. Your journey is not about me, but you should know that I have lived in experience as a former athlete and dancer who has danced with mental health herself. I know firsthand how challenging it can be and I want to be the kind of support I needed when I was a youth athlete finding herself. We all deserve to feel better and find contentment in our own minds.

Therapy Philosophy

Tara uses a relational style model which feels more like conversation in session rather than checkboxes and assessment questions. Therapy with me should feel like you're walking into a conversation with a trusted older sister or auntie - "I'll call you on your sh*t, but you'll never feel judged for it"
