BIPOC IdentifyingPMHNP
Gender Identity: female
Short Biography
I am a Hispanic female first gen immigrant with over a decade of experience treating many mental health diagnoses. I live in Los Angeles and I am proud of living in such a diverse community. My background is Peruvian, I immigrated to the US at age 16, most of my formative years I navigated the duality of the immigrant experience: home where I learned how to work hard, and the US, where I learned that assimilation would cost me parts of my identity. I am passionate about providing compassionate and culturally sensitive mental health care. I understand the unique challenges faced by minorities who navigate mental health issues within the context of non-Westernized cultural backgrounds.
