Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Gender Identity: female

Short Biography

Hi, I'm Gina. I'm a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in supporting young adults, Asian Americans, and caregivers with navigating the pains of estrangement. Oftentimes, navigating estrangement can look like tending to the grief associated with the loss of not only the relationship but also what the relationship meant to your life and sense of identity. Working together, we'll help you figure out out who you are within relationships and outside of relationship with others. I believe that both/all aspects of you are important and deserve care.

Therapy Philosophy

I know that your individual struggles were born within contexts. This includes the contexts of your personal life experiences, as well as the contexts of larger systems at play, including social, economic, and political systems. As such, part of our work together will include making space for acknowledging and deconstructing the harmful effects of these contexts.

Special Training & Certifications

I've completed the following trainings as part of expanding my understandings of estrangement and how to best support people navigating estrangement and related issues. Moreover, I am regularly seeking continuous education (as much as I can afford) to support my continued growth as a therapist. Last by most importantly, I hold each of my clients' lived experiences in high regard. I believe my clients are the experts of their own lives and make efforts to support the development of this expertise. - Domestic Violence Crisis Counselor Training/Certification - Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (a "Parts Work" Model) - Attachment-Focused EMDR (Parts 1, 2, and 3) - Internal Family Systems Masterclass (In Progress)
