Short Biography

Book a free consult here: https://calendly.com/mariamameha Hi, I'm Mariam! I specialize in helping young adult women (18+) through personal challenges, life transitions, and the stress that can come with trying to figure everything out. Whether you’re stepping into college life, figuring out your next move after graduation, struggling in relationships, or feeling stuck somewhere in between – you don’t have to do it alone. My areas of focus include low self-esteem, anxiety, attachment dynamics, relationship issues, people-pleasing, perfectionism, family-of-origin issues, stress, trauma, and life transitions (such as starting college, post-grad life, a new career, or increased independence). As a woman of color, I understand how cultural expectations can affect individuals and manifest in beliefs, patterns, and behaviors that may no longer serve them. I aim to create a space where clients can explore these experiences openly while staying connected to the parts of their identity and values that matter most to them. I deeply value BIPOC representation in the mental health field and reducing stigma around seeking support. I take an approach based in connection, acceptance, emotional insight, and practical tools. I don’t see therapy as a place to “fix” you, but as a space that can hold both the hard and the hopeful – where we can explore your challenges and uncertainties, celebrate your progress, and make room for humor where it fits. If you're ready to get started, I'd love to hear from you!
