Short Biography

I know what it feels like to tell someone something is wrong and be dismissed. I spent two years being told I was too young to be sick while a tumour grew in my chest. By the time I was diagnosed with blood cancer at 33, I'd learned more about advocating for myself than I ever wanted to. That experience is a lot of what brought me to this work, and a lot of what I bring to it. I also spent years in corporate environments where being efficient meant being given more until I couldn't. I've since learned how to set limits that hold. That's not separate from the clinical work. It's part of it.

Therapy Philosophy

I use EMDR, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), somatic therapy, and IFS approaches that work at the level of the nervous system, not just the story we tell about what happened. DBR is gentler than EMDR and often a better fit for people who are highly sensitive, autistic, or easily overwhelmed. The goal isn't more insight. It's a different response the next time the trigger shows up. Feeling misunderstood builds over time in how we learned to stay safe, in the walls we put up, in the relationships that keep playing out the same way. When the body stops bracing, things actually change.

Special Training & Certifications

I've completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I also bring specialized training in working with 2SLGBTQ+ clients and neurodivergent adults, including those with ADHD and autism.
