Short Biography

Hey there! I'm Roxanne Palmer, LCSW-S (she/her) and I'm a Latina therapist in Pearland, Texas who specializes in a variety of areas, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and more. I focus on supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, Black, Indigenous, Latine, Asian, and other people of color, and adults living with HIV.

Therapy Philosophy

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to explain or shrink parts of yourself to be understood. Wanting calm, joy, and pride in who you are doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re ready for support that honors your full experience and helps you move forward with clarity and self-trust. Together, we’ll explore how past patterns once kept you safe and how they may no longer serve you now. We’ll gently challenge internalized narratives shaped by culture, family, and systems, while building a more grounded, authentic sense of self. I practice with a strengths-based perspective and strive to help empower you. I utilize a variety of modalities based on your needs and what works best for you (CBT, ACT, and Narrative just to name a few). I am flexible and can adjust to detours on your healing journey. The therapeutic space I create is safe, warm, affirming, relaxed, and informal.

Special Training & Certifications

I spent over eight years as a therapist, medical case manager, and Program Director for the largest LGBTQIA+ community centers in Texas. While my expertise lies in working with marginalized communities, I welcome all who seek a space of understanding, transformation, and self-discovery.
