Short Biography

Hi, I'm Brittany! I am so happy that you are on the search for a therapist! That tells me you are ready to take care of YOU! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work primarily with young adults, adults, and the geriatric populations. I work with clients living with Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, Depression and relationship concerns, just to name a few. My professional background includes working in the prison setting, private practice and community mental health.

Therapy Philosophy

I believe that how create meaning and how we understand & manage our emotions around the meaning we create, can greatly contribute to our ability to navigate life stressors. I typically work from a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) approach which focuses on learning to understand and regulate emotions and navigate relationships in a healthier way. I also incorporate other approaches as needed, such as CBT and Narrative therapies, which focus on interrupting unhealthy or unproductive thought patterns and helping clients reshape narratives to separate themselves from life's struggles and negative experiences.
